To celebrate the launch, Calvin Klein Jeans and Fashion Clinic has transformed its Times Square store into a Calvin Klein Jeans Reimagined Denim pop-up from 22nd June- 13th July, 2022.. Upcycled denim and rescued textiles are used throughout the space to create a denim jungle and a giant denim tiger teddy made from upcycled material. Various customer engagement activities in store include an environmental quiz, upcycle tote bag making workshop on the weekends, and experience of turning denim scraps into coaster with our state of the art needle punching machine. Designed in partnership with Fashion Clinic, the collection is made from excess denim and reworked using patchwork, reinforced rips, washing and distressing techniques. Handcrafted in Hong Kong utilizing 2,000 pairs of unworn jeans, no two pieces are the same. Labels, buttons and zippers were also kept intact to further reduce waste. The offering includes a denim jacket, jeans, hat, skirt, bralette, and special tiger teddy celebrating the Year of the Tiger. replacing the ever increasing collections per year created by fast fashion, we choose to work on upcycling, dealing with dead stock, abandoned or surplus material only. after all today’s trash is tomorrow’s treasure.
we believe in fashion mileage over fashion trends, designing pieces that are built for long-lasting love. perhaps it is time to push the reset button and begin again.
in hope of finding a more sustainable option to creating souvenir for events, we created upcycled tote bags for g for good’s first assembly in august 2019. the totes were made from abandoned fabrics collected from uniform factories, the prints combined kay’s drawings with cantonese lyrics from 《人曲》written by 周耀輝 and vicky fung, and《獨家村》written by 林夕 and christopher chak.

launch of tomorrow by daydream nation x jouer collaboration upcycled home collection line.
this is tomorrow’s first attempt at creating a capsule home collection line, giving castaways a second chance at life through ecologically-intelligent design and lovingly hand-crafted details. apart from the one-off pieces we created especially for jouer’s interior, we designed and produced aprons, totes, oven mittens, tea-towels from abandoned material, all hand made in our studio in hong kong.
